Welcome to Bipolar Aberdeen
Bipolar Aberdeen is a self help support group for people with bipolar disorder including their carers, family and friends, who can get together to share experiences and to provide mutual support and advice on coping with bipolar.
Bipolar Aberdeen holds free monthly meetings, normally the last Thursday of each month from 7pm - 9pm at the Midstocket Church Community Centre, 35 Midstocket road, Aberdeen, AB15 5JL. For details of the next meeting see the bottom of this page.
It is not adjacent to the church itself, but on Midstocket road, approx 100m westward from the junction of Midstocket road and Beechgrove Terrace).
Bipolar Aberdeen runs an occasional series of social events for members and their guests. Our next event involves a fun evening at Codona's at the Beach on Friday 21st April. For details see the News & Events Section.
The next monthly meeting
We are holding our next self-help group meeting on Thursday 28th of September 2017 from 7-9pm at the Midstocket Church Community Centre, 35 Midstocket Road, Aberdeen, AB15 5JL.
At the meeting we will have a guest speaker, a principal pharmacist from Royal Cornhill Hospital, who will give an informal discussion on some hot topics regarding medication such as treaments for Bipolar Affective Disorder, useful and reliable sources of medicines information and side effects of medication and their management. Please be advised that the speaker can only speak in the capacity of a Principal Pharmacist and cannot advise individuals about their own treatment regimes. As this is an informal presentation the floor wil be open to questions and related discussions throughout.
